The Psychopathology of Everyday Things

I really and truly enjoyed reading this chapter.  I even giggled when reading it because it reminded me of times I couldn't figure out how to open a door or even seeing others struggle with common everyday things  It really is true how common things we experience everyday can be so complex and confusing.

The most recent thing that has confused me and I still have a hard time figuring out are the celling fans that were installed a few months ago at one of my jobs. There are two fans an two spinning knobs.  Doesn't sound that complicated however neither of the knobs are marked in any way.  Doesn't say which ones which or which ways high or which ways low.  It's really a guessing game.  Or a game of sitting and waiting to figure out which ones which and how to slow it down.  It would be helpful if the knobs weren't sitting next to each other because at least that way it would be easier to remember which knob goes to which fan.
